Yusuf’s 30-plus years in global markets spans leadership roles across fixed income, equities and commodities in sales, structuring, trading and investment positions in the major financial centers of New York, London, Hong Kong and now Dubai.
Prior to establishing ARP, Yusuf was the CEO of Asian commodity trading firm Noble Group from 2012 to 2016. This followed 20 years at Goldman Sachs, initially in New York, then London, and finally in Hong Kong, where he managed the firm’s Asia Pacific Sales, Trading and Investing Businesses before becoming Co-President for the region and a member of the firm’s Global Management Committee. In London, Yusuf spearheaded Goldman Sachs’ EMEA Sales and Structuring efforts, having moved there from New York where he started his career on the firm’s Fixed Income Research desk.
Yusuf was the first-ever Arab Partner in Goldman Sachs’ history (in 2004) and the only Arab to ever get promoted to the firm’s Global Management Committee, which he joined in 2011.
